ABLE to assist WHO’s National Consultation on Outcomes of ‘Survey of Indian Pharmaceutical Enterprises for Meeting National and Global Health Needs’ on November 24th at New Delhi


Representatives from ABLE have been invited to share their inputs and be an active part of this Consultation initiative by WHO.

The World Health Organization’s Country office for India has informed Anil Chauhan, Senior Advisor, ABLE New Delhi, that it is organizing a National Consultation on Outcomes of ‘Survey of Indian Pharmaceutical Enterprises for Meeting National and Global Health Needs’. This is being organized on November 24, 2017 at Hotel Taj Mahal, 1, Mansingh Road, New Delhi.

The objectives of the Consultation are:
(i) To disseminate the report of the pharmaceutical survey;
(ii) Seek inputs of various stakeholders to help guide policy interventions; and
(iii) Identify specific areas of support by different ministries of Government of India and WHO.

The consultation is expected to be attended by Senior Ministry Officials, State Drug Controllers, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) officials and experts from the concerned government sectors such as Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of commerce  and Industry, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), NITI Aayog among others.
Representatives from ABLE have been invited to share their inputs and be an active part of this Consultation initiative by WHO.
